Licensing Commission · Meeting of October 9, 2026
CHELSEA — The Chelsea Licensing Commission approved a petroleum storage license and a livery license, both contingent on pending inspections. Chair Marnie MacAlpine's panel voted unanimously to grant Chelsea SPI LLC a petroleum storage license for 571 Washington Avenue pending completion of its occupancy permit, with a police recommendation that exterior cameras stay operational. Commissioners also approved a livery license for Ioannis Venturis's JNS Limo Services Corporation at 42 Revere Beach Parkway, pending a Chelsea Police Department vehicle inspection and confirmation that his existing Boston livery license is clean.
A separate disciplinary hearing was continued to the November 12 meeting after Chelsea Police said video evidence and the investigating officer were unavailable. "I just don't want you to end up in a situation where you get shut down," MacAlpine told the petroleum applicant. The commission set a special meeting for October 29 to address a still-unspecified disciplinary matter.
